Introduction to Nobeoka City

Nobeoka is a city in northern Miyazaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. During Japan's feudal period, Nobeoka flourished as a castle town under the Naito family. Present day Nobeoka is an industrial city, boasting a population of over 100,000 residents. Nobeoka is the second largest city by area in Kyushu and the third most populated city in the Miyazaki prefecture. Nobeoka is known both nationally and internationally as a sports hub, hosting athletes from various countries around the world. A popular Japanese dish, Chicken Nanban, was invented Nobeoka and points to its wide variety of original cuisines. Outdoor enthusiasts visit Nobeoka for hiking, snorkeling, canoeing, and many other outdoor activities. Nobeoka has much to offer to both local residents and tourists alike!

Lecture on Smart City Policy and Decarbonrization Policy of Nobeoka City by Mayor Yoji Yomiyama

Mayor Yoji Yomiyama gave an online lecture on the Smart City Policy and Decarbonrization Policy as well as introduction of appeals of the City at the local Autonomy Collage, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on November 24.
This program was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in cooperation with JICA for senior officials from African countries. Participants actively exchanged opinions with the Mayor and demonstrated their deep interest in the policies of Nobeoka City.
